Kickball, Birthdays, and Secrets!

This was a wild day.

I started the day commentating Drag Kickball, a fundraiser for Kaleidoscope Theatre.

It happens once or twice a year and never disappoints. This year’s theme was Angels vs Zombies and apparently I was too busy running my mouth to take any pictures but here’s some shots from PlanetKatrina Photography

Then I swung over to Wifey’s Bar to perform in the STREET for a friend’s Birthday. Wifey’s is pretty new, but I’m so excited that there’s another queer neighborhood bar in the city. Coincidentally, Wifey’s is also where the Kickball Afterparty was happening. Call that Kismet ;)

After that, I headed over to The Allways Lounge for Secrets of The Sea, a show put on by Poseidon Davenport & Eros Sea.

Since it’s typically a burlesque show, I decided to switch things up and perform my original song “That’s (Not) Drag” and I’m pretty sure this is the performance where I officially decided to slow down the tempo.

I am VERY verbose and that’s cute and all, but if the (usually drunk) audience can’t understand the words, then what’s the point? You’d be surprised how much of a difference 10 bpm can make :P

I was so busy this day, I didn’t even realize it was my 11 year Dragiversary… I can’t even believe it. It feels like i’m just getting started… ;)
